So, I just wrapped up the six month internship at DIS, and it was a great experience. I met some really talented people and I expect great things from them. Anyway, here are some mini-paintings I made as going away gifts. I think it's the least I could do for them, after having to spend six crazy months with me.  More to come.

Ostriches

When I was looking through my portfolio, I realized I do a lot of sketches and never really resolve or experiment with any of them. I originally started out with the bird holding the stop sign and went from there, exploring stylization, emotions and gesture.

Environments/ Compositons

More work for my portfolio. I haven't really played around with environments and compositions in a long time, and we've been storyboarding at work, so I felt compelled.  Just the tonal study and colored final. 

Portfolio Stuff

So, I've been busy lately with work and trying to build a portfolio to show after my internship is over. It's hard to believe I've been L.A. for almost six months, but I'm optimistic something will turn up soon. So here is the character sheet for the Space Boy, focusing on action and expressions.
